PARIS, Once a private bathhouse for the likes of Marcel Proust, a hotspot for
the Bohemians of the Belle Époque, and a famed nightclub where Jagger and Bowie
romped, Les Bains is gloriously back. Les Bains is both an homage to the
heritage of its storied past and a bold new take on Parisian hospitality.
Thanks to the outstanding joint work of the architects and designers Vincent
Bastie, Tristan Auer, and Denis Montel, the property shines as a vibrant,
connected, international clubhouse and hotel, which includes a restaurant,
bars, a private lounge, a club, guest rooms, and suites. Set at 7 Rue du Bourg
L’Abbé, a jewel of the historic third arrondissement, the property is ideally
ensconced in Paris’ old aristocratic district, a trove of atmospheric streets
and architectural splendors.
LES BAINS REBORN
THE PRESENT
When you breathe new life into a legend, you confront the ghosts of the
past. Renovated with total respect for the spirit of its history, the new Les
Bains presents many faces but one soul, unifying its residences, hotel, bar,
club, restaurant, stage, and more. The man who directed its rebirth,
Jean-Pierre Marois, puts it this way: “Our only aim was to build a nest for
creative people where they are able to invent, develop, and present new trends
in a safe haven.” Here, one eye is always looking to the future, while the
other is acknowledging its rich past. Or as Marois notes of the building’s
nightclub days, “Everybody will be pleased to find the legendary
black-and-white dance floor created by Philippe Stark.”
